Public Safety Careers

Sheriff Ron Freeman and 911 Training Coordinator Danny Murray provided insight into the scope of public safety careers, including the critical role of dispatchers in emergency response.

Stop Two

Forsyth County Fire Department Station 12

Educators experienced firsthand the training, teamwork, and career pathways within fire and emergency services.

The Well
(Cumming City Center)

At The Well, Mayor Troy Brumbalow shared perspective on city leadership and growth.

Stop Four 

Forsyth County Government

After lunch Forsyth County Commissioner Alfred John and County Manager David McKee spoke about the structure, staffing, and workforce systems required to keep our county operating effectively.

Stop Five

Forsyth County Jail

The day concluded with a tour of the Forsyth County Jail, providing a comprehensive look at public service career pathways across our community.

When educators experience these systems firsthand, they are better equipped to guide students toward meaningful, high-demand careers that strengthen our local economy.

This is how we align education with workforce needs in Forsyth County.
